TIGERTAILZ To Perform Entire 'Bezerk' Album At London Show

August 15, 2009

Long-running U.K. glam rockers TIGERTAILZ will perform their classic 1990 album "Bezerk" in its entirety on Saturday, October 10 at London, England's Borderline.

Commented vocalist Kim Hooker: "With it being nearly 20 twenty years since ['Bezerk''s] release, and the inevitable question of celebrating this fact coming up, it occurred to us that there were songs on there that we hadn't played in years, so it's really interesting going back and revisiting that lesser played stuff. From the hook-laden vibe of the songs, the big gang backing vocals, right down to the artwork, everything on that album was specifically created to be the most extreme, over-the-top, glam-metal experience anyone had ever heard or seen...You either loved it or hated it — no one was in the middle. 'Bezerk' clearly defined what we were about at that time."

As the U.K.'s answer to POISON and MÖTLEY CRÜE, TIGERTAILZ was the only U.K.-based band of this ilk to dominate the U.K. charts at the end of the '80s with "Bezerk" hitting the U.K. Top 40 and a U.K. Top 5 live video release filmed in their hometown Cardiff, "Bezerk Live" and "Video Frenzy". With songs that became Top 40 hits and were so catchy you couldn't stop singing them for days, "Love Bomb Baby", "Noize Level Critical", "Heaven" and "Living Without You" all became good time party anthems of a generation, and have influenced some of the contemporary acts of today.
